Pembroke's Access Initiative: OxNet

Founded in 2008 by Oxford’s first appointed Access Fellow, Dr Peter Claus, OxNet is a ground-breaking educational Access initiative led by Pembroke College and delivered collaboratively with partners across the UK, including other universities such as the University of Cambridge and Durham University, as well as a national network of schools and colleges.

 

OxNet runs seven academically-intensive programmes for Year 12 pupils in our target regions of West London, the North West and the North East of England. These subject-specific programmes – English, Humanities, Languages, Philosophy and World Religions, Science, Social Science, and Heritage-360 – are administered by Hub schools in these areas. Each Hub works with local Link schools and employs a designated OxNet Coordinator, who is responsible for overseeing OxNet activities in their region.
